Wow Isabelle A web site as serious in nature as Jesus CAFE?? I was not aware! It is great to see old Mormons listing false facts about a religion they no longer accept or know about. I read most of the page you referenced and found that some if not half of what is stated is correct. However the other is dead wrong. Ya, Not so much concerned about facts, history, learning about others beliefs with a true intent to understand an individual or what makes them tick, as we are to find inconsistency, fault, blame, intolerance, and hatred. I bet if you showed genuine love towards your neighbors (the pizza people from another post) and wanted to learn about helping them more than your own needs, they might be more receptive in listening to you. By the way... We are all practicing our religion (whatever that may be) and some people need more practice than others. Yes I have ran across people that "protect" themselves from people that may have different beliefs and do not associate with them. We are all on our road to Damascus so to speak and I have found that it is the walking that gets you where you need to be. More to the point I have a challenge for you I would ask you to go to your neighbors home sometime this week and knock on their door and just say that you are trying to get to know your neighbors and are just here to say hi! Then EVERY time from then on that you see a member of that family just keep saying Hi and see where that gets. And most of all see how this pattern of behavior over time makes you feel regardless of the result or reply from others. Yes Isabelle, true religion, not what religion!
Ps want to know about Mormons I found a good website that can teach you their beliefs (not so much on the history of the world and injustices that have occurred) Just beliefs of some great people (once you get to know them)
