I have alway taught my daughters and wife to put "safe" ahead of "legal".  If they don't feel good about pulling over, then don't do it until they do feel good!

I would rather have them safe and in trouble with the law than dead or hurt because they were worried about what is "legal".

I really don't care what the cops think about it...I'll deal with a judge and/or jury if the time comes.
