I have been LDS my entire life and am currently 32 years old. The knowledge and education I have so far is like gold to many, and I have much much more to learn while striving to live what I have been taught in the gospel as a righteous life. By choice I decided to keep my faith because the times I follow the teachings of this church I come out on top in the important decisions that shape my future life. That doesn't mean I have always lived perfectly or anyone else in the church, and who has lived a more perfect life than the Savior of the world. We all make mistakes or are shy or out of reach sometimes in our lives. I want to add that I have many close friends who are not in my LDS faith that I dearly love. And they don't judge me, and haven't admitted to a perfect life. When I read through these comments that are demeaning the LDS religion I feel like all of it comes from being offended by someone of the LDS church who isn't living a perfect life. I think it is unfortunate that all of us as a community cannot be outgoing enough everyday to say hello or just make all a friend or act just perfect so no one can get offended. I hope that those judgments will cease on members of the LDS church who I've learned are a target here in Salt Lake Valley (Utah) since I've moved here. Can you see how these comments are not fair because it isn't just church members who are unfriendly or imperfect. We have our entire life to learn how to become more like the Savior and we are all on our own time table and personal path to get there if we so choose. I hope that those who have been offended will somehow meet the ones who are more friendly because there are so many. That is my hope.
