Media Partially to blame for the Shootings?

I cant help it but to believe that the Media is partially to blame for the many act's of violence taken out on the innocent.    The media instantly raises these monsters from unknowns to house hold names.      I'm not saying that we shouldn't talk about what happened and why, but why must we Show pictures of the monster, and talk about him personally over and over again.  The Media should be talking about what issues caused it, and how to prevent it in the future.  They should also tell people what things to look for to prevent these tragedies in the future.

As long as the media keeps immortalizing these people, I fear that the massacres will only get worse and more frequent.    Please, Please PLEASE stop immortalizing these people.

I couldn't agree more!!! Why do these people get the front page when the victims aren't until page 4 or 5?
Why do I even need to know their name? what good can come from printing anything about these people? The headline of the day should NEVER be 'deadliest shooting in American History'. All you did was up the anty. There are probably 100 people right now saying 'I want to beat that'. And further more why is it sooo disturbing when he writes a play with violent scenes using hammers and chainsaws as weapons. Isn't that what 'SAW 1, 2, and 3' are about? These are mainstream movies. And we're surprised? I was soooo offended by the pictures you had on the previews to the news that I couldn't even watch the segment and I certainly wouldn't want my family or ANYone else to see it. I can't believe there is any good from showing those things. Media Glam? You guys compete for the hottest stories and most intimate details and then you are surprised when the 'crazies' compete the same way and use your info to do it. PLEASE PLEASE STOP STOP THIS VICIOUS CYCLE!!!!!
