Ok... here's my public service announcement for you:

Be very patient... very calm on I-15 over the Memorial Day weekend.  I know a lot of you will be hitting the road and heading for southern Utah for the holiday (I will be right there with you)... but there's going to be lots of construction to deal with, so here's the low-down...

I-15 construction near Yuba Lake State Park.  Word from UDOT is it's going to be a big headache for travelers.  One lane in each direction and they're expecting big delays.  State roads 78 and 28 might be good alternates.  Sometimes you just have to roll the dice.  UDOT says the main problem will be for everyone as they come home.  Everyone is in a hurry to get back home, etc.  Plan accordingly!

Having said all that... can I just say I believe that we here in Utah are spoiled.  Really!  We have some of the most wonderful scenery and best get-away places in the world... right in our own back yard... and we don't even appreciate it.  Or perhaps too few of us do.  (Maybe I should just keep this secret to myself).  Last time I was at Delicate Arch, I ran into many people from Germany... China... Japan.  The word is out.  Take the time.. make the effort for you and your family to experience it all for yourselves.  Make some memories!
