Friday... Friday... Friday....

You don't know what Friday's mean to people who get up at 2:30 or 3:00 in the morning to come in to work.  It's a glimmer of hope.  It's a whisp of a reason to celebrate.  So when that little red light goes on.... we're gonna milk it for all it's worth.  That's why you saw what you did on Good Morning Utah.  It was a bit out of control.  Out of control... and a whole lot of fun.

Looks like our weather guy, Todd Gross has thrown down the fashion gauntlet.  Taking me to task on the pocket squares I wear on air.  Look... it's pretty simple really.  Everybody needs something to obsess over.  Some people do it with their kids.... some people do it with their pets.... some people do it with their car!  Me?  I obsess over a little piece of brightly colored silk that sticks out of the front pocket of my suit.  I admit it.  Years ago... when I just reported traffic... I obsessed over Hawaiian shirts.  I had a closet full of them.  Ah yes... the good ol' days.

Now on to a more pressing matter:  my relationship with Good Morning Utah's roving feature reporter, Christiana Brady.

Teamwork on a morning newscast is so important... so is good chemistry.  You gotta be able to work together well.  If you don't... it makes your day miserable.... and everyone watching can tell.  We've lucked out on GMU.  We all get along... and we all enjoy working with one another.  (At least when one of us isn't focusing on minutia like pocket squares!)  So... with that in mind, may I present:

THE TOP TEN REASONS WHY I LOVE CHRISTIANA BRADY*

#10- Christiana is Greek.  Greek chicks rock!

#9- Christiana gets up almost as early as I do every day... and she looks a lot better.

#8- She has her own firefighter's helmet in her cubicle.  She's ready for any situation.

#7- C.B. is one of the most down-to-earth...unpretentious people you will ever meet.

#6- She brings us food every Taste Test Tuesday.

#5- On Monday morning... while the rest of us are dragging butt... she's a bucket of sunshine.

#4- She wears Nike running shoes while on air.  (You just can't see them.)

#3- She's always coming to me for her best story ideas.  (Who's your daddy?)

#2- Christiana is somehow able to put up with our photog, Joe Bugg!  (No easy task.)
