Last week: 11-5(69%)
Against-the-spread: 6-10(38%)
Season total: 109-67(62%)
Season ATS: 72-89(45%)
Lock-of-the-week: 9-5-1(63%)
Forget the point spread. If you're gambling with me just stick with the lock of the week. I told you that was too many points, even for the Patriots. Also, I'd like to thank Philly for making New England human again. Now I'm not afraid of the Pack making the SB like I was last week.
Green Bay(10-1) at Dallas(10-1)
The big one. The biggest regular season game other than the 'game of the century'. Can the Pack pull it out? Not on the road. Cowboys 33, Pack 28
Houston(5-6) at Tennessee(6-5)
This is the week. Vince Young shakes off the Madden-jinx and battles for a win again. Titans 17, Texans 7
San Diego(6-5) at Kansas City(4-7)
Don't look now, but the Chargers are all alone in first place. It sure didn't take them long to bounce back from that brutal start. A win in KC would put them in the driver's seat for the stretch run. Bolts 31, Chefs 24
NY Jets(2-9) at Miami(0-11)
John Beck played fine on Monday night. No big turnovers in the middle of a monsoon. He'll get that elusive first win this week. Phins 13, Jets 3
Seattle(7-4) at Philadelphia(5-6)
After that impressive performance(they still lost) on Sunday Night, the Eagles might become the hot NFC pick. Eagles 37, Hawks 25
San Francisco(3-8) at Carolina(4-7)
Would you pay to watch this game? Me neither. Panthers 17, Niners 10
Jacksonville(8-3) at Indianapolis(9-2)
Now here's a game that deserves my money and attention. Colts 33, Jags 27
Atlanta(3-8) at St. Louis(2-9)
Oh, jeez. With questions at QB, I guess I'll go with the dirty birds. Falcons 31, Rams 30
Detroit(6-5) at Minnesota(5-6)
Two teams headed in opposite directions. But its time for the Vikings QB shortcomings to bite them in the Upset Special #1: Loins 27, Vikes 26
Buffalo(5-6) at Washington(5-6)
This will be an emotional game for Washington, playing without their defensive leader Sean Taylor, who was tragically shot and killed this week. Washington 14, Bills 10
Cleveland(7-4) at Arizona(5-6)
This game looks like a total toss up. But, if they couldn't stop the Niners, I don't think the Cards defense will be able to do much with Derek Anderson. Browns 22, Cards 14
Tampa Bay(7-4) at New Orleans(5-6)
A tough call, but the Buccs have been manufacturing wins all year long. Upset Special #2: Buccs 10, Saints 9
Denver(5-6) at Oakland(3-8)
The Broncos really choked last week against the Bears. Now they look like a non-playoff team, as opposed to the accidental-playoff team they looked like last week. Broncs 16, Raiders 9
NY Giants(7-4) at Chicago(5-6)
Eli and the Giants couldn't play that poorly two weeks in a row, could they? Well, yes they could, but luckily for them, Rex Grossman may be involved. Giants 16, Bears 14
Cincinnati(4-7) at Pittsburgh(8-3)
The Bengals are finally playing well, while the Steelers have cooled off. It should be a close game, take the points but pick Pitt. Steelers 22, Bengals 17
New England(11-0) at Baltimore(4-7)
Ah yes. Another ridiculous line for the Pats. You know what, I was right last week, lets do it again. Its my Take-it-to-Wendover-lock-of-the-Week: Pats 20, Ravens(+20.5) 13
That's two weeks in a row, the Pats not to cover is the lock-of-the-week. Does anyone else see this N.E. team like those Indy squads that were dominant for about 12 weeks, then cooled off down the stretch and choked in the playoffs? Just asking.
