Here we go again?
Carlos Boozer is out again, this time 4-5 weeks, at least according to the Booze-meister. He knocked knees with Tyson Chandler and suffered a hairline fracture in his left fibula. Its basically an almost-broken bone. Hopefully this won't turn into a replay of the past two seasons. Boozer played just 84 games over that time, and started to feel the wrath of frustrated Jazz fans. Jazz fanatics didn't think Booze's hamstring injury was that serious.
Now Utah is deep enough that they can still win some games without Boozer. In fact, the Jazz did just that the first half of last season. If there is a silver lining to this injury, it will force Jerry Sloan to put Paul Milsap on the court even more. So far, Milsap is averaging just 16 minutes per game. That's no knock on Sloan, its tough to put Milsap into the game instead of Boozer or Okur.
Another bummer is that this could mean that no Jazz players will make the All-Star team. Mehmet Okur and Deron Williams still have strong cases to go to Vegas, but not nearly as strong as Boozer, who was a lock.
