Last week: 9-7(56%)
Against-the-spread: 8-7(53%)
Season total: 156-100(61%)
Season ATS: 129-105-4(55%)
Lock-of-the-week: 11-8(58%)
Weekly Super Bowl pick: Chargers 33, Eagles 7
I stumbled across the finish line this week. I had enough juice to beat my brother, but just barely. The lock of the week failed again, but you still would have made $300 if you had bet with me all season long. It wasn't as good as last year's legendary 16-0-1 run, but that was once in a lifetime. Time for the playoffs, which means we stop keeping score, thank goodness.
Kansas City(9-7) at Indianapolis(12-4)
The Colts stumble into this game with one of the worst rushing defenses of all time. And they are facing the second best back in the league. The only problem for KC is their offense has been mostly lethargic since Trent Green returned. Peyton Manning will perform in the first round of the playoffs once again. Colts 22, Chefs 15
Dallas(9-7) at Seattle(9-7)
So let me get this straight, the Cowboys are supposed to be a quality team, but they can't beat the Loins at home. I know that week 17 games can be deceiving, but they were playing all their studs. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are nobody's pick to get to the Super Bowl, not even Kent Rupe. Hawks 27, Cowboys 24
NY Jets(10-6) at New England(12-4)
It was nice to see the Jets actually win to get in the playoffs, as opposed to the Broncos. But the Pats are just too good. The point spread is way too big at -9, so for the first time ever, I'm not picking my take-it-to-Wendover-lock-of-the-week to actually win the game. Pats 29, Jets(+9) 23
NY Giants(8-8) at Philadelphia(10-6)
Thats right. The Eagles are my weekly pick to take the Super Bowl. I know they're not the best team of all time, but why can't they win the lame NFC. The Giants are just as bad as their 8-8 record would indicate, but they can beat anybody if the Tiki farewell tour continues. Not this week. Eagles 28, Giants 19
